Ashley Cole reveals why he joined Chelsea

Ashley Cole says being ‘disrespected’ and ‘shafted’ by Arsenal throughout contract negotiations and that’s the reason he made the choice to maneuver throughout London and be a part of bitter rivals CHELSEA.

After coming via Arsenal’s academy, Cole revamped 200 first-team appearances for his boyhood membership, lifting two Premier League trophies and three FA Cups.

After his acrimonious departure from Arsenal, Cole went on to take pleasure in much more success at Chelsea, serving to the Blues win one other Premier League trophy, 4 extra FA Cups, the Europa League and the Champions League

Arsenal needed Cole to increase his keep on the membership however the defender says he was ‘shafted’ after being supplied a much less profitable contract than he was ‘promised’, and he has admitted that he felt ‘disrespected’ by the Gunners and consequently joined CHELSEA on a contract value greater than £100,000-a-week.

‘However we did comply with pay it. Every little thing was agreed after which they pulled the rug [from] underneath me. They broke their promise – I couldn’t inform you why.

‘In the end I felt disrespected, that is my viewpoint, I felt disrespected.

‘It’s what it’s, however generally after I converse to followers [and they say], “You left, you damage me”, I’m like, “Maintain up”. Individuals don’t realise that I used to be the one who obtained damage essentially the most.

‘That was my boyhood membership, I’d been dwelling the dream. However I obtained shafted. ‘It wasn’t that I felt I wasn’t getting sorted as a result of I used to be a younger participant. I didn’t ask for [Thierry] Henry’s or [Patrick] Vieira’s [wages]. I didn’t need that.

‘I used to be nothing to do with them. I simply knew what I used to be value and so they broke their promise. I look again and I used to be bitter. In my head I used to be going, “You set me via some s***”. And so they simply went like, “Ash, you take care of it, and it’s nothing to do with us.”

‘I feel [former Arsenal vice-chairman] David Dein got here out and talked about one thing lately. However it took him like 20 years.

‘For 20 years I obtained abused. However I don’t blame the followers. I perceive their frustration. They didn’t know the complete details, they didn’t know the reality.’
