NYCFC’s Jersey Auction Raises [Amount] for Children’s Charity
Major League Soccer team New York City Football Club (NYCFC) has announced that their jersey auction, held in partnership with the United States Soccer Foundation, has raised a staggering [amount] for the children’s charity. The auction, which took place earlier this month, featured authentic game-worn jerseys from NYCFC players, including club stars like Kelechi Iheanacho and Maxime Chanot.
The United States Soccer Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting youth soccer development and providing support to underserved communities across the United States. The organization’s mission aligns perfectly with the values of NYCFC, who have made it a priority to give back to the local community through various initiatives and charity partnerships.
"We are thrilled with the response from our fans and partners to the jersey auction," said NYCFC Chief Business Officer, Brad Sims. "We are proud to have raised such an impressive amount of money for the United States Soccer Foundation, which does incredible work to help underprivileged youth across the country get involved in soccer and develop their skills."
The auction featured 20 exclusive game-worn jerseys, each one signed by the player who wore it during a NYCFC match. The unique items were displayed at a special preview event held at Yankee Stadium, the home of NYCFC, where fans were able to bid on the jerseys online and in person.
The total amount raised will be used to support the United States Soccer Foundation’s programs, which include youth development initiatives, education and employment services, and community outreach programs. The foundation’s flagship program, the Soccer for Success initiative, uses soccer as a tool to promote healthy lifestyles, academic achievement, and personal growth among children and teenagers in low-income communities.
"We are grateful to NYCFC and their fans for their generous support," said Ed Foster-Simeon, Executive Director of the United States Soccer Foundation. "The funds raised will enable us to continue our important work in bringing the benefits of soccer to underserved communities across the country. We look forward to continuing our partnership with NYCFC and making a positive impact in the lives of young people everywhere."
This marks the latest example of NYCFC’s commitment to giving back to the community. The team has a strong history of supporting charitable initiatives and partnerships, including work with local schools, hospitals, and non-profit organizations. With this jersey auction, the club has demonstrated its dedication to making a positive impact on the world, both on and off the pitch.
