Sarah Mtalii and Simon Kabu: Navigating New Paths Amid Divorce Speculations


In 2024, Bonfire Adventures CEO Sarah Mtalii announced that she would no longer be using her husband Simon Kabu’s surname, sparking rumors of a potential divorce. Sarah has since rebranded herself, adopting the name “Sarah Mtalii,” which translates to “Sarah the Tourist” in Swahili.

The entrepreneur, who shares two children with Simon, clarified that she is reverting to her maiden name and will officially go by “Sarah Njoki Nyaga.” Sharing her decision on social media, Sarah explained:
“Guys, I’m rebranding my name. I will now be known as Sarah Mtalii. My official name is Sarah Njoki Nyaga. I will no longer be using the name Sarah Kabu. So from today, when referring to me, please use Sarah Mtalii, my brand name online. I want to thank my fans for their overwhelming support. I know you didn’t know what I was going through. I started the foundation to encourage you, as I understand how challenging the journey can be.”

Interestingly, Simon Kabu has also embraced the “tourist” branding, referring to himself as “Simon Kabu The Tourist” in a recent interview.

Marriage Struggles and Separation

In 2024, Sarah revealed she had moved out of their matrimonial home following a widely circulated video of a woman, allegedly Sarah, in a heated altercation with a househelp. Addressing the rumors, Sarah provided clarification:
“There is a girl claiming she was my housegirl, and I beat her up at my former home, which she called ‘Pharaoh’s house’ or ‘Egypt.’ She says this happened before I moved out.” Sarah drew a symbolic comparison between her former home and the hardships of Egypt.

The Bonfire Adventures boss also expressed regret for her past advice to women about staying in marriages despite infidelity.
“I want to apologize for encouraging women to stay in marriages where there is infidelity. Ladies, I’m asking for your forgiveness. If things aren’t working, it’s better to leave while you still can,” Sarah stated in a video. She further emphasized, “From today onwards, if it’s not working, it’s not working—just leave.”

The couple, who once presented a united front, now appears to be pursuing separate paths both personally and professionally.
