Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal news, gossip and transfer latest from icfootballnews that we think you guys could have missed today…
Perhaps the biggest news of the transfer window so far will in fact be confirmed this summer, as it has been reported that ARSENAL have agreed to sign Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi.
Arsenal were looking to add a few more players to the side during the last summer window and were heavily linked with a move for the impressive Zubimendi – who has been very good over in La Liga over the past few seasons
In the end however, ARSENAL FC made the decision to move for a few other players and opted to not splash the £51 million it would have taken to bring Zubimendi to the Premier League.
But according to the Daily Mail, Arsenal WILL sign Martin Zubimendi this summer after triggering the £51m release clause in his Real Sociedad contract.
It emerged this week that Zubimendi, 25, was set to move to the Emirates for €60million (£51m) in the summer, But the Real Sociedad midfielder could still reject the Gunners, having U-turned on joining Liverpool last year.
Spanish outlet AS claim that Zubimendi won’t make a decision at the end of the season

Zubimendi has been brilliant for Sociedad over the past few seasons and we can easily see why the ARSENAL scouts too such an interest in the man, he really has been impressive.
It is probably the right decision to stay put for now – there is no need to move clubs at this stage of his career. But it will be interesting to see if he does make the move to Arsenal because space will be limited.
With Thomas Partey still in talks over a potential new deal and Declan Rice in the squad, where would Zubimendi play every week?
LIA SIGNS UP
Vivienne Lia has become the latest young Gunner to sign a first professional contract with ARSENAL , and the winger has admitted that she is delighted with the deal she has put pen to paper too.
The 18-year-old winger has gone from strength to strength after making her senior debut against London City Lionesses last February and has now committed her future to north London and ended speculation that she could be snapped up by one of the Gunners rivals.
And after penning that first big deal, the star has admitted her delight: “It’s an amazing feeling. Signing for my childhood club makes it that bit more special,” she said, in her first interview after putting pen to paper. “A lot of people know how special this club is and how much it means to me, so it’s really just a dream come true!”
Viv rose through the ranks of our academy after joining at age 14 and she attributes her growth to the academy’s blend of high performance and support.
“The academy environment is so unique. They know how to push you outside of your comfort zone so that you grow, ultimately, but also to help you to become a better person.
‘It’s amazing to go on this journey with my closest friends as well. We get so excited for each other and we support each other so much.”
“I’ve experienced a lot in the last year and it’s helped me to grow a lot as a person and also as a footballer. It’s helped me to embrace my own individual journey and know that if I just continue to work hard, there will be doors that open up because of that.
“You find ways to push yourself but also enjoy the journey at the same time. To enjoy every training session and just embrace the people that you’re around as well – that’s the most important thing.”
ARSENAL TOLD SIGN TAMMY ABRAHAM
As Gabriel Jesus’ serious knee injury leaves ARSENAL light in attack, Ally McCoist reckons they should be looking at former Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham to cover the injury that the Brazilian star has picked up.
Jesus suffered an ACL injury in the FA Cup clash with Manchester United on Sunday, which will keep him out for the rest of the season and pretty much force Arsenal to delve into that transfer kitty to add a new striker to the attack.
Arsenal needed a striker even before the latest injuries to Jesus and Bukayo Saka, and that has led to all sorts of specculation about who Mikel Arteta will manage to bring to the Emirates at this stage of the season.
But McCoist reckons Abraham would be a good choice. England international Abraham is on a season-long loan at AC Milan from Roma, where he has scored six goals in 22 appearances across all competitions.
‘Seemingly it’s taken an injury to Gabriel Jesus to push them over the line in going to get a centre-forward. Which is something that should have happened a long time ago,’ the Scot told talkSPORT.
‘Who do they get? The thing is now, the selling club know that they’re desperate. Absolutely desperate. £20m becomes £30m, £40m becomes £50m and they’ve only got themselves to blame for that situation.
‘One that’s going under the radar a little bit…Tammy Abraham.
‘They just need somebody that can effectively stand in the six-yard box and score goals. That’s what they need.
‘You look at the plentiful chances they create and if you’re a centre-forward and a goal-scorer you’d fancy yourself in that team, you’d fancy yourself for 20-25 goals a season.”

ARSENAL need a new striker, Kai Havertz is not good enough to lead that Gunners attack and Arteta knows that he will need to spend if the club are to take the lead of the Premier League from Liverpool.
There will be alot of rumours in the coming weeks, it will be interesting to see who arrives at the Emirates.
