TikTok sensation Alma Mutheu, 25, paused her university studies, where she was pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in English and Literature, to focus fully on content creation—a decision she doesn’t regret.
“I found studies a bit hectic and wanted to concentrate on content creation. I don’t regret the move because it’s brought me to where I am today,” she shared.

Since venturing into the digital space, Alma has earned millions, making it hard to justify leaving such opportunities. “I can always go back to school later,” she noted.
Alma has been in a relationship with fellow content creator Gift Musiq for two years. Recently, Gift expressed disappointment over not being treated on his birthday, but Alma defended herself, saying, “It’s not every day that you have money. Besides, I’ve always gifted him before, so I don’t see why it’s a big deal.”
However, Alma opened up about the financial strain in their relationship. “In a household, a man is the leader. I live with my boyfriend, but it gets tiring when you’re the one constantly providing. It’s okay if a man can’t provide all the time, but it’s not fair to always be the one footing the bills after two years of living together.”

When they first started dating, Gift had a job while Alma was already an influencer. She willingly supported them both because “love always wins,” but over time, she noticed the imbalance.
“Many people told me to leave Gift, saying he wasn’t good enough for me. But I was in love and decided to give him time to sort out his hustle. Now, I feel he’s not doing enough since I’m still paying for most things, including rent and fueling the car,” Alma said.
She acknowledged that their first year together was blissful, but arguments began when the financial imbalance became apparent. “I had hoped by now he would have stepped up. That doesn’t mean I don’t love him—he’s an amazing man. But I feel like he’s too comfortable and needs a push.”
Alma also revealed that she’s open to starting a family. “I wouldn’t mind having a child at this age. If a baby comes, I’m ready, which is why I’m not on any family planning.”
