Tel – Veiga – Gyokeres feature in Chelsea news now

Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news, gossip and transfer latest from icfootballnews that we think you may have missed today…

CHELSEA are in initial talks with Bayern Munich over a possible swap deal including Christopher Nkunku and Mathys Tel, as the decision has reportedly been made to let the Frenchman depart Stamford Bridge this January.

Nkunku has been at Chelsea for a few seasons now, but has really struggled with injuries during his time at the club, and despite the fact he has 13 goals this season, Nicolas Jackson is seen as the clubs  number one striker.

Enzo Maresca loves to employ Jackson as his main man in the Premier League, meaning that Nkunku has only been able to get much of his minutes in the conference League and cup competitions, which is not what the attacker wants.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that Tel has spoken with boss Vincent Kompany and hopes for a successful future in Bavaria, but Chelsea are hovering, and The report states that the Blues asked to be informed on Tel’s current availability and initial talks were held over a possible swap deal.

Among the Chelsea players discussed for a trade was Nkunku, according to German publication BILD. Any deal is in the very early stages, but talks have been held after initial interest from both clubs.

Ex-Premier League striker Chris Sutton believes Nkunku is a ‘talented player’ but doubts he will come good at Stamford Bridge and has tipped Chelsea to offload him during the January window.

‘I can see Christopher Nkunku leaving,’ Sutton told NewBettingSites. ‘Enzo Maresca seems reluctant to use his bench and Nkunku hasn’t had enough regular game-time.

‘The fact he’s down the pecking order and not getting regular game time, it certainly tells you that Maresca thinks he’s OK, but you need more than OK if you want to push for the Premier League title.

‘He had that horrific injury but unless you get regular game-time, it’s really difficult to find that rhythm.

‘He is a talented player but it looks like another one where it’s just not going to happen for him at CHELSEA.’

GYOKERES EXIT FEE AGREED

Sporting CP and Viktor Gyokeres have come to an agreement over what fee should be deemed acceptable for a bumper summer transfer, with the likes of CHELSEA, Arsenal and Manchester United all interested in the striker.

Gyokeres is a man that is making some big noise across Europe after developing into one of the very best strikers in Europe right now, and there has been alot of talk that the Premier League giants could make a move for the man in the transfer window.

The striker has 31 goals in 29 appearances in all competitions so far this season, and reports claims that the Premier League is his ‘most likely’ destination for the Swedish star should he move away from Sporting.

He may not be leaving Sporting during the January window, but Record in Portugal float a figure of £62.8m (€75m) as the price to pay at the end of the season after the player an club came to an agreement.

And amid all the speculation, reporter Iomie Stanley, he would be an upgrade for Nicolas Jackson – he said: ‘Gyökeres is not just a goal-scorer; he is also an excellent creator. His assists in the Championship underscore his vision and ability to involve others in the play.

‘He often drifts into wide areas to create space and deliver crosses, adding unpredictability to his team’s attack.

‘Jackson, while quick and energetic, has yet to show a similar level of creativity. Gyökeres’ versatility makes him a perfect fit for a Chelsea side that often rotates and requires attackers to adapt to different roles.

‘Gyökeres’ performances exude confidence, a trait CHELSEA desperately need in their front line. His ability to lead the line and deliver consistently, even under pressure, has been a hallmark of his game.

‘Jackson, being younger and less experienced, has yet to develop the same level of authority.

‘Gyökeres is the kind of striker Chelsea need to restore their cutting edge in front of goal. With his goal-scoring prowess, physicality, composure, and creativity, the Swedish international represents an upgrade on Nicolas Jackson and a player capable of thriving in the Premier League.

VEIGA LEAVING CHELSEA

CHELSEA defender Renato Veiga has agreed to join Borussia Dortmund, according to the latest reports in the media over the past few dsays.

Veiga joined Chelsea in a £12 million deal from Swiss side Basel last summer but he has been unable to secure a regular role in the team under Enzo Maresca,  the 21-year-old has played just 177 minutes in the Premier League and the majority of his playing time has been in the Conference League.

Viega played a full game at left-back in Chelsea’s 5-0 win over Morecambe in the FA Cup third round on Saturday but the Portugal international may now be on the move after reports emerged suggesting that he wanted out of the Blues.

According to Sky Germany, Veiga has reached an agreement with Dortmund but the Bundesliga club remain in negotiations with Chelsea over a deal this month.

The report adds that Dortmund are looking to secure a loan with an option to buy.

IcFootballnews View…

Veiga has been decent for the Blues this season and many fans believed that he had the potential to take his game to that next level and become a top top player for Chelsea, so the news that he could be leaving will be a massive shock for many fans to take.

However – he wants to play on a regular basis and not just in cup competitions, so it is easy to see why he would want to leave Chelsea this January in search for game time, and to be honest, Dortmund is a great move for the lad.

We have seen in recent seasons that the Bundesliga is a great place to develop and many talents are going there to get the minutes that they desire, so even though his CHELSEA dream could be over, this move will probably be the best decision for the lad to make.
