Source: Sparta Prague, Plymouth Argyle targeting American defender Bryan Reynolds

American defender Bryan Reynolds is garnering suitors yet again for a potential move this winter.

Czech Republic side Sparta Prague and English Football League Championship side Plymouth Argyle are interested in acquiring Reynolds from Belgian side Westerlo, a source close to the player confirmed to SBI.

Sparta Prague previously made a €2 million transfer offer to Westerlo last week while Plymouth Argyle is seeking to add Reynolds on a six-month loan deal. EFL club Hull City also was interested in Reynolds’ services last summer.

Belgian outlet Voetbal Nieuws originally reported the continued interest from Sparta Prague, which previously targeted Reynolds in the Summer of 2023. GOAL has confirmed the news as well.

Reynolds, 23, originally joined Westerlo from Italian club AS Roma in 2022 on loan before transferring to the side fully in 2023. The former FC Dallas academy player has made 88 combined appearances for the First Division side, scoring three goals and registering 12 assists.

He also spent time in Belgium previously with Kortrijk.

A former U.S. youth national team defender, Reynolds has earned seven caps for the USMNT. However, he has not featured for the USMNT since the 2023 CONCACAF Gold Cup.

Sparta Prague are third in its domestic league standings and have two remaining UEFA Champions League matches coming in January.

Plymouth Argyle, managed by former England and Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney, sit last in the EFL Championship.
