PSG and Jordan Launch Exclusive ‘Wings’ collection.


January 15 – Paris and fashion mix as easily as tea and biscuits, so it’s no surprise that the perennial champions of France, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are about to strut the catwalk as they strengthen their collaboration with the luxury craftmanship of the Jordan brand.

In 2018 the two joined forces to combine sports and fashion, and with the new ‘Wings’ collection, this natural evolution, leveraging the global appeal of both brands continues.

The star of the show will be PSG’s fourth jersey, which for the first time debuts with long sleeves as its initial design (and who doesn’t love a long sleeve?). The jersey will prominently display Jordan’s signature ‘Wings’ motif, and like all modern kits merges performance technology with a design aesthetic inspired by the luxury of the Jordan Brand.

As well as outfitting both the men’s and women’s teams is a training collection in PSG’s colours, however, it doesn’t end there as off the pitch the ‘Wings’ collection will also include leather luggage, jackets, and an Italian-crafted sweater inspired by football goal nets, emphasising craftsmanship and exclusivity.

Paris Fashion Week will be ground zero for the unveiling and a pop-up store at 31 Place du Marché Saint-Honoré will offer an immersive experience for fashion enthusiasts and PSG fans.

It is hoped that by aligning the launch with Paris Fashion Week, PSG, and the Jordan Brand will enhance the exclusivity of the collection but also make sure that the world’s fashion press is on hand to publicize this expanding partnership.

Fashion as a driver of sports has been around since the 80’s as Fred Perry shirts were considered the uniform of the ‘lads’ following their teams in England, however it has only been in the last few years that major brands have collaborated on a high level with clubs.
