Manchester City are interested in signing Douglas Luiz from Juventus in the January transfer window, according to GiveMeSport. The report has claimed that Juventus could send Luiz out on loan in the middle of the season, and defending Premier League champions City could make a move.
City, who have been linked with Dani Olmo, are having a disappointing season, and with Rodri out injured, Pep Guardiola’s side are on the hunt for a new defensive midfielder in January. Luiz was at the Etihad Stadium and is well known to Guardiola, and the chances of the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich head coach bringing him back to the club are rising, according to GiveMeSport.
Luiz joined Juventus from Aston Villa in the summer of 2024. However, the 26-year-old midfielder has failed to establish himself in the first team at the Bianconeri. He has made 14 appearances for the Italian club so far this season. Juventus are unlikely to win Serie A this campaign and are in the running for the top four.
