LIVERPOOL have turned down an approach for Trent Alexander-Arnold from Real Madrid, according to reports, as the Spaniards start to make their moves to try and sign the defender.
Alexander-Arnold has been criticized for many of his defensive displays during his time at the club , but that doesnt hide the fact that he is still one of the very best players in his position.
The England star has been the subject of much speculation amid rumours of a new contract at Anfield and interest from Real Madrid, but it seems that the Reds have no desire to let the man leave in the next few transfer windows.
Sky Sports News understands there was no formal offer but an approach was made by the LaLiga club, but Liverpool have turned down an approach for Trent Alexander-Arnold from Real Madrid
Pundit Ally McCoist has opened up and claimed that he believes Alexander-Arnold will eventually make the move to Madrid, he said: “I think Trent Alexander-Arnold will be at Real Madrid next season. I hate to say it because I like to see the world’s best players staying in the Premier League and he is one of those.
‘I think if he were to stay, he and Liverpool would’ve come to an agreement over a contract before now to secure his future at the club and the fact he hasn’t makes me think that Real Madrid is where he will be lining up next season.”

Look, LIVERPOOL have played alot of games without Alexander-Arnold this season, so they can perform at a high level without the defender, they would just prefer to keep hold of the star.
Madrid is a massive move for the player to make and one that he would be unable to turn down, that is for sure, so we are certain this is not over.
OLMO STATEMENTS RELEASED
Barcelona and La Liga have released conflicting statements surrounding the future of attacking midfielder Dani Olmo, with the likes of Chelsea, LIVERPOOL and Arsenal all reportedly keeping a close eye on the Spanish star.
The 26-year-old, who helped Spain win Euro 2024, joined Barcelona from Leipzig in August but he was only registered for the first half of the season as Barcelona could not meet La Liga’s wage cap restrictions.
Barcelona registered Olmo after their squad was hit by long-term injuries, allowing the club to allocate a portion of wages to register the player. His four-month allowance expired at the end of December and the Spanish court rejected the club’s request to provisionally register him.
Barcelona issued a statement earlier on New Year’s Eve in which they claimed that they had requested a new registration licence for both Olmo and Pau Victor, having used a financial lever to register him initially, using the salary space freed up by the injured Andreas Christensen, but that registration has also expired.
Now, conflicting statements have been issued in regards to the Spain international’s future, Barcelona said: “FC Barcelona informs that it has applied for a new license for the players Daniel Olmo and Pau Víctor to the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF). Club would like to deny having requested or receiving any moratorium to any governing body for these inscriptions.”
La Liga claims that Olmo simply cannot be registered – Their statement read: “La Liga informs that, as of today, December 31, FC Barcelona has not presented any alternative that, in compliance with La Liga’s economic control regulations, would allow it to register any player from next January 2.”

Olmo is a world class player and Barcelona will try everything they can in order to keep hold of the Spaniard, but if he does come onto the market, he will be a wonderful signing for any Premier League side.
But we are also certain that he wants to stay at Barcelona and is hoping this will all get sorted.
ALEXIS MAC ALLISTER FEE SET
It has been claimed in the media that LIVERPOOL would allow midfielder Alexis Mac Allister leave the club for a massive €100 million, amid rumours that Real Madrid are interested in a deal
After making the decision to bring in Mac Allister for £55 million a few transfer windows ago, the Argentine midfielder has become a big part of that Liverpool side and a player that Arne Slot can really rely on.
He was linked with a stunning move away from Liverpool in the summer, but had no desire to par ways with the Reds, and Real Madrid then opted to end their interest in the world cup winner, But the midfielder, whose current contract expires in 2028, recently opened the door to a potential future move.
Mac Allister had admitted that he would like to play his trade in La Liga in the future – Asked by AS if he sees himself playing in Spain one day, Mac Allister replied: ‘Yes, why not?
‘It’s a country I like a lot and I’ve visited it several times, and, above all, because of the language and the culture, it’s very similar to Argentina. I would definitely like to play in Spain one day.’
Fichajes reports that Real Madrid have been massive admirers of Liverpool‘s midfield stalwart, Alexis Mac Allister, and are interested in signing the Argentine in the upcoming transfer window.
The same report states that Arne Slot’s side will demand a huge €100 million to sell their talisman to Los Blancos.

LIVERPOOL fans will not like to see that one of their players is already showing a desire to part ways and make the move to La Liga, he should not be really speaking about that unless he wants the switch sooner rather than later.
He may get that move to Spain, but it may not be the big move that he is hoping for as we cant see Madrid paying that much for the player
