Guehi – Nkunku – Delap feature in Chelsea news now

Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news, gossip and transfer latest from icfootballnews that we think you guys could have missed today…

Joining CHELSEA this January transfer window would give Marc Guehi the step up that he needs to become a top player in the Premier League, reporter Iomie Stanley has claimed amid all the speculation and rumours.

The 24-year-old has become a cornerstone of Palace’s defense, showcasing maturity, leadership, and technical prowess beyond his years. A return to Chelsea, his boyhood club, has been talked about in the media over the past few weeks.

Enzo Maresca has a big squad to choose from and a number of players that could develop into world class stars, but he needs to sort out a defence thaat has been leaking goals this season, when they shouldnt be.

And amid the speculation that Chelsea want Guehi, Stanley has told icfootballnews that a move to Chelsea would be the step up that the Crystal Palace defender needs to take his game to that next level, he said: ‘While Guehi has thrived at Crystal Palace, moving to Chelsea would allow him to compete in higher-stakes competitions, including Europe.

‘At Chelsea, Guehi would face world-class opposition not only domestically but also on the European stage. Such experiences would undoubtedly accelerate his growth, refine his defensive attributes, and test his mental resilience.

‘The transition would also reunite Guehi with elite coaching staff and facilities, enabling him to polish his skills further. Chelsea’s infrastructure and tactical environment could help him evolve into one of the best defenders in the world.

‘His Premier League experience means he could seamlessly slot into the team without a steep adaptation curve. Guehi’s composure on the ball, aerial ability, and defensive positioning make him an ideal fit for CHELSEA‘s possession-oriented system.

‘Additionally, Guehi’s leadership qualities would be a significant asset. Despite his young age, he captains Crystal Palace, demonstrating a maturity that Chelsea could benefit from.

‘He could become a long-term leader in their squad, filling the void left by senior players departing in recent years.’

NKUNKU DECISION MADE

CHELSEA have reportedly told Bayern Munich they want around £65million for Christopher Nkunku this January window amidst constant reports that the club are ready to let the French star leave.

Enzo Maresca loves to employ Jackson as his main man in the Premier League, meaning that Nkunku has only been able to get much of his minutes in the conference League and cup competitions, which is not what the attacker wants.

That has led to reports that Nkunku could leave Chelsea this month and the Blues are interested in a move for 19-year-old Bayern forward Mathys Tel to replace him if he departs.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that Tel has spoken with boss Vincent Kompany and hopes for a successful future in Bavaria, but we are hovering, and The report states that the club asked to be informed on Tel’s current availability and initial talks were held over a possible swap deal.

Bayern are keen on a move for Nkunku, who is facing an uncertain future after being left with a diminishing role at Stamford Bridge under Enzo Maresca, but the Sun have claimed that the German giants have been told that a fee of £65 million will get a transfer deal done.

The reports come after pundit Chris Sutton tipped the club to offload Nkunku during the January window.

‘I can see Christopher Nkunku leaving,’ Sutton told NewBettingSites. ‘Enzo Maresca seems reluctant to use his bench and Nkunku hasn’t had enough regular game-time.

‘The fact he’s down the pecking order and not getting regular game time, it certainly tells you that Maresca thinks he’s OK, but you need more than OK if you want to push for the Premier League title.

‘He had that horrific injury but unless you get regular game-time, it’s really difficult to find that rhythm.

‘He is a talented player but it looks like another one where it’s just not going to happen for him at CHELSEA.’

CHELSEA SHOULD SIGN DELAP

CHELSEA have been linked with a potential move for Ipswich star Liam Delap, and according to reporter Iomie Stanley, the forward has the potential to be one of the best strikers in the Premier League.

Delap is having a fine season in the Premier League for Ipswich this season and has been linked with a move to both Chelsea and Liverpool in recent weeks, and although his eight goals are not that impressive, his performances have been quality.

Now, amid all the speculation and rumours, Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported the existence of a release clause, although did not confirm the value of it, while he did state that there is a sell-on clause worth around 20 per cent, which could cost Ipswich a significant amount of money if they sell elsewhere.

Stanley told icfootballnews: ‘Chelsea’s pursuit of young talent has been a cornerstone of their transfer strategy in recent years, with the club investing heavily in players who possess both potential and immediate value.

‘Delap could be a shrewd acquisition for Chelsea, particularly as they look to solve their long-term issues in the center-forward role.

‘At Ipswich Town, Delap has showcased his predatory instincts in front of goal. His movement in the box, combined with his ability to find space and finish clinically, makes him a standout among young strikers. Delap’s record at youth levels and his continued improvement in professional football demonstrate that he is not only a promising talent but also a consistent goal threat.

‘Chelsea, who have struggled to find a dependable striker since the departure of Diego Costa, could benefit from adding a player with Delap’s goal-scoring pedigree to their ranks.

‘Standing tall and strong, Delap’s physicality is one of his defining attributes. This strength allows him to hold up play effectively, shrug off defenders, and provide a focal point for his team’s attack.

‘The Premier League’s physical nature demands forwards who can withstand challenges, and Delap’s natural physique makes him well-suited to the rigors of top-flight football.

‘He could complement CHELSEA’s dynamic wide players and creative midfielders by offering a robust presence in the penalty area.
