CHELSEA target Jonathan David is expected to become a free agent next summer, and is demanding £100,000 a week according to TuttoSport.

Depite the relatively good start to life at Stamford Bridge, Enzo Maresca has alot of work to do in order to get Chelsea back challenging for a Premier League title as the former dominant force of the Premier League are now inconsistent.

Enzo Maresca will also get the chance to improve a number of key areas of the pitch, as the defence is expected to be improved, the midfield should see a few new faces arrive and adding another striker to the attack is something that is surely on the mind of  Maresca.

Nicolas Jackson has been too inconsistent since his move to Stamford Bridge, Christopher Nkunku has has been in excellent form but is being linked with a move away from the club as he struggles to get many minutes in the Premier League.

That has led to all sorts of speculation and rumours that a potential move for David could happen in the next couple of windows, especially as the striker is out of contract at the end of the season.

Look, CHELSEA need a striker it really is that simple. But David is just another Nicolas Jackson and would not really offer anything different in that Blues attack, which is not what Maresca wants.

For free he would be a solid signing, but not the answer to all the Blues problems and we are pretty certain that a move to La Liga, Italy or the Bundesliga is one that he would prefer

Anselmino was being touted as a potential superstar after his maiden season as a senior professional at Boca Juniors. His performance in the 2023-24 campaign grabbed the attention of Chelsea recruiters, who wasted no time in sealing a transfer for the young defender for just £17 million ($22m) in the summer.

The player, who has committed to move to Stamford Bridge on a seven-year deal, immediately returned to the Argentine club on loan at least until January 2025, and has continued to impress over in his homeland

Anselmino is a wonderful talent that definitely has a big future in the game, so Chelsea have really snapped up a player that they can mould into something special and then potential sell him for alot more that the £17 million that was paid.

CHELSEA have a big few months ahead of them with all the games they will have to play, so having more talents like Anselmino to come in and add some more depth to the side will help their chances of some silverware and potential Champions League football.

It will be interesting to see how Anselmino handles the pressures of playing for a big club like Chelsea, the Premier League and being away from his family, but there are a few Argentines already at Stamford Bridge, and surely they will be able to help the lad adapt to Premier League life.

CHELSEA GET RONALDO ARAUJO GREEN LIGHT?

CHELSEA are reportedly very interested in raiding Barcelona in the transfer windows, as they are reportedly planning a move to sign defender Ronald Araujo in order to bolster their back-line issues.

Maresca is the man that the Chelsea board feel can take the club forward after Mauricio Pochettino failed to impress as coach of the club last season – and the Italian will be backed in the coming transfer window.

A number of players have already been brought to Stamford Bridge over the past few windows  – but there is a feeling in the media that Chelsea need to sign players that have already proven themselves at the top of the game and could make an immediate impact.

Araujo suffered an injury in the summer that meant he would miss the start of this campaign, causing Barcelona to change up their back-line, and now there is not too much space in the side for the defender.

And According to reports, this has angered Araujo, with the player now open to leaving the club , and acccording to Fichajes, the English club would be willing to pay £60 million to strengthen their defense with the services of the experienced defender, in a move that could shake up the transfer market.

If Barcelona make the decision to sell the defender in the JANUARY window – he would be a brilliant addition to that CHELSEA side – especially now that Thiago Silva has left the club and headed back to Brazilian football.

Maresca will want players that are proven at the very top of the game and he will need the backing of the board if he is to get the players he feels could take the club forward in the coming season.

Araujo would be a great signing for the club that is for sure, he could take over as the leader in defence following Thiago Silva’s departure from Stamford Bridge.

We have seen the transfer policy from Chelsea over the past few windows – but at the end of the day – can we really see this young squad competing for that Premier League title against Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool with a bit of added experience to the side.
