January 15 – The second largest banking organisation in the United States, Bank of America (BofA), is continuing its foray into the world of football. Hot on the heels of partnering with FIFA’s properties, the 2026 World Cup, and the 2025 World Club Cup, BofA, can now boast the US Soccer Federation as a long-term partner.
This partnership makes BofA the first partner of ALL 27 US National teams including the senior men’s and women’s teams, while also giving it the title of Founding Level Partner for the new Arthur M. Blank U.S. Soccer National Training Center in Atlanta.
By partnering with the Federation, BofA is supporting the development and competitiveness on the global stage for all levels of play. That includes a significant contribution to the new state-of-the-art training facility that is due to open in 2026 and will host the entire national team programme as well as the relocation from ‘Soccer House’ in Chicago.
Chief commercial officer of U.S. Soccer, David Wright, said: “This landmark partnership marks one of the largest long-term investments in U.S. Soccer history. Bank of America’s global leadership will help catapult our sport and further our mission to grow soccer in the United States.”
David Tyrie, chief digital and marketing officer at Bank of America, added: “Together with U.S. Soccer and its 27 National Teams, we’re eager to further fuel the growth of soccer and engage fans, families, and businesses across the country. This partnership underscores our commitment to driving positive economic and cultural impact while supporting the fastest-growing sport in the U.S.”
With the sport of international football (soccer) literally invading North America over the next few years in the form of the FIFA Club World Cup, the Men’s World Cup, the 2028 Olympic Soccer tournament, and the proposed bid for the Women’s World Cup in 2031, BofA is making a statement of intent.
