Sky Sports’ Gary Neville has been speaking on the future of ARSENAL target Marcus Rashford and claimed that he could actually leave Manchester United when the January window opens up in a few weeks time
According to the Telegraph, United started welcoming bids for the 27-year-old last summer following a drastic loss of form, and are ready to let him leave the club when the January window opens up next month, and could accept just £40 million for the star
And ahead of the game with Bournemouth at the weekend, when Rashford was omitted from the squad once again, Neville has been speaking on the future of Rashford and claimed that he could leave in January: “Marcus Rashford’s absence isn’t really a surprise any more. It’s something of the norm.
“You leave him out for three matches on the bounce, something really is going wrong or has gone wrong.
“It’s not looking great for both Marcus’ future at the club or Manchester United keeping him. I suspect it’s getting to the point in the journey where there is an inevitable ending.
“If you’d said to me seven or eight days ago whether Rashford could leave in January, I’d say no chance.
“One thing in the past with players at a big club, if you’re talking to me about it every single week, it becomes a distraction for the manager and the focal point of the press conference, that’s when it does become obvious they have to leave.
“It’ll probably work for both parties. There’s good examples of players who have struggled at Man Utd and gone on to do better elsewhere – Jadon Sancho at Chelsea, Scott McTominay didn’t struggle but he’s doing well at Napoli.
“Marcus might think that’s the right thing for him as well.”
ISAK WILL BE JESUS UPGRADE
ARSENAL’s £100m transfer target Alexander Isak is ‘on another level’ to current Gunners striker Gabriel Jesus, that is the opinion of Arsenal legend Paul Merson.
Arsenal returned to winning ways on Saturday, thumping Crystal Palace 5-1 to keep the pressure on Premier League leaders Liverpool. Jesus scored twice in the emphatic victory at Selhurst Park, following a midweek hat-trick in the Carabao Cup win over the same opposition.
Arsenal are reportedly interested in bolstering Mikel Arteta’s attacking options during the January transfer window but it remains to be seen whether Jesus’ mini-revival will alter their plans, but Merson says Isak would cause ‘massive problems’ to Arsenal’s rivals if he was to move to north London
Newcastle signed Isak in a club-record deal from Real Sociedad in 2022 and the Sweden international has thrived at St James’ Park, scoring 41 goals in 67 league games, becoming one of the best forwards in the Premier League.
‘I said this about Alexander Isak at the start of the season and I’m not changing it, if Arsenal got him it would have been the icing on the cake,’ Merson told Sportskeeda.
‘I know Gabriel Jesus scored a hat-trick in the cup game. But Isak is on a different level.
‘He’s a very good player and could have caused massive problems to other teams if Arsenal got him.’

The good performances from Jesus in the last few games should not stop Arsenal from signing a new striker, the Brazilian will pick up an injury sooner rather than later, it always happens.
Isak would be a massive signing for the club, but unless ARSENAL are prepared to pay £100 million to get a transfer deal done, this will not happen as the Toon do not want to let one of the clubs best players leave the club in the next couple of transfer windows.
ARSENAL READY TO SIGN KOUNDE
It has been claimed that ARSENAL boss Mikel Arteta has told the club that he would like Jules Kounde signed from Barcelona, and the Gunners are ready to pay £60 million in order to get a deal done.
Kounde is a player that Arsenal have been linked with ever since his days with Sevilla – but have never been able to convince the Frenchman that a move to the Premier League is one he needs to make.
However – Kounde’s future in Spain now looks uncertain as the Spaniards are going to sell a number of players in the coming transfer window in hope that they can freshen up the side after a disappointing campaign.
He has already attracted interest from several European giants including Paris Saint-Germain, Inter and Manchester United
And According to reports, this has angered Araujo, with the player now open to leaving the club , and acccording to Fichajes, the English club would be willing to pay £60 million to strengthen their defense with the services of the experienced defender, in a move that could shake up the next transfer market.

Kounde is a man that they have wanted for some time and is a player that could be one of the best – he would be a brilliant signing.
However – despite all the speculation and all the rumours – we would be very surprised to see him actually depart the Spanish giants and fully expect him to stay as he has shown no real desire to want to depart the Camp Nou, or even play in the Premier League.
But – in the world of football anything could happen and the right offer could get him all signed up by ARSENAL, if they actually want the man. Especially as Mikel Arteta already has a quality number of players in his position.
