There have been some rumours that LIVERPOOL would be open to the sale of midfielder Harvey Elliott if they can rake in £40m, according to reports. in the media this weekend have claimed.

When Arne Slot came to the club during the summer window, nobody could have believed the impact that he would make in his opening few months as boss of the Reds, as they are top of the Premier League and Champions League tables.

The Dutchman has many of the players that Jurgen Klopp had at Anfield, he has not been able to get the stars that he would like to help take his side to that next level, as the club needs some transfer funds.

Liverpool forked out £4.3m to bring Elliott to Anfield from Fulham after a ruling by a tribunal, and they are now reportedly open to the idea of letting the attacker leave the club at the end of the season.

Borussia Dortmund are said to be interested in the 21-year-old, who has made just 10 appearances this term after struggling with injury. Brighton are among those eyeing the midfielder in addition to the Bundesliga side.

Should they choose to allow his departure, they stand to make a significant profit

Slot has a very good squad to work with this season and to be honest, we would be shocked to see any players leave the club as they have all had a big impact in results this season.

Elliott is a very gifted lad that wants to play, if he cannot get that at LIVERPOOL then a move does need to happen. And £40 million would be a very good price for the lad.

TAA WILL LEAVE LIVERPOOL

LIVERPOOL icon Robbie Fowler believes Trent Alexander-Arnold will leave the club on a free transfer this summer, amid the constant reports that Real Madrid are very keen to sign the England star.

Alexander-Arnold has been criticized for many of his defensive displays during his time at the club , but that doesnt hide the fact that he is still one of the very best players in his position.

The England star has been the subject of much speculation amid rumours of a new contract at Anfield and interest from Real Madrid, but it seems that the Reds have no desire to let the man leave in the next few transfer windows.

Sky Sports News understands that there has been an approach made by the LaLiga club, but Liverpool have turned down an approach for Trent Alexander-Arnold from Real Madrid as they want to keep the right-back.

However, Fowler has backed Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah to remain at Anfield, but tipped Alexander-Arnold to leave: “From a club point of view, to let the likes of these three players go down to the last six months, they’re the questions that people probably want to ask,” Fowler explained on ITV.

“What will happen will happen. My own personal point of view and it’s certainly not inside information, I just think two of them will stay one of them will go and it’s up to the people at home to come to their own conclusions on that.”

When pressed, he added: “I think it’s fairly obvious, I think obviously Mo will stay and I think Virgil will stay.

“I love Trent as a player, I think he’s probably one of the best in the world at what he does and of course I’d love him to stay but we’ll see.”

Look, LIVERPOOL have played alot of games without Alexander-Arnold this season, so they can perform at a high level without the defender, they would just prefer to keep hold of the star.

Madrid is a massive move for the player to make and one that he would be unable to turn down, that is for sure.

LIVERPOOL TARGET WANTS MOVE

Napoli boss Antonio Conte says winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has “asked to be sold” amid interest from the likes of LIVERPOOL and Paris Saint-Germain this January window.

Kvaratskhelia is a player that all the big clubs have been linked with over the past few seasons and is a man that was heavily tipped to leave Napoli last summer if his £87 million asking price was met, but in the end he stayed at the Italians.

However – Sky in Italy said on Thursday that Kvaratskhelia had made the decision that he now wanted to leave Napoli this Transfer window, and all sorts of speculation has been gathering pace over the past few days.

Conte has now confirmed the winger could be on the move this month. He said: “Regarding Kvara, he has now asked the club to be sold. I’m telling you without mincing any words.

“It was signalled to me and then the player himself confirmed it to me. Personally, I feel really disappointed, I spent six months with him and the rest of the team, making him feel at the centre of the project.

“We worked with the club to get his contract renewed, but after six months we are back to square one.

“I take these things head on, but I haven’t had the cutting edge [to keep him]. Now I’m at a point where I have to take a step back, because I can’t chain people to the club who don’t want to be here.

“It was a bolt from the blue. Now the player’s representatives and the club will resolve the situation. And if he ever stays, he must never think I wanted to chain him to the club.

“I did this this summer, a bit presumptuously as I thought I would be able to convince him. I didn’t succeed.

“And obviously, he is not available to play against Verona.”
