West Ham United are interested in signing Evan Ferguson from Brighton and Hove Albion in the January transfer window, according to GiveMeSport. The report has claimed that Arsenal and Fulham are also keen on a deal for Ferguson, but the Hammers are determined to beat their London and Premier League rivals to the signature of the 20-year-old Republic of Ireland international forward.
Brighton could send Ferguson out on loan in the middle of the season. The 20-year-old striker is struggling for playing time at the moment. The youngster has scored one goal in two starts and 10 substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Seagulls this campaign.
GiveMeSport has claimed that Brighton will assess Ferguson’s situation only towards the end of the January transfer window. West Ham manager Julen Lopetegui is “a genuine admirer of Ferguson”, according to the report, with the Hammers confident that they could be able to get a deal done.
