CHELSEA are reportedly set to hold talks with Joao Felix ahead of the January window, and it may be a good idea for the attacker to leave the Blues in the winter window according to reporter Iomie Stanley
The summer window Chelsea made the big decision to bring Joao Felix back to the club for a bargain fee after Atletico Madrid made the decision that they no longer wanted the star at the club, a move that shocked many Blues fans.
He has shown some quality in European games, but he has been unable to get into that starting eleven for the Premier League as the club have the likes of Cole Palmer and Christopher Nkunku ahead of Felix,
Give Me Sport reports that the owners at Stamford Bridge will talk about the future of Felix with the player himself, and it remains to be seen what happens finally.
And amid all the speculation, Stanley says that it now be time for the star to leave the club – he said: ‘It was a massive shock to Chelsea make the move to bring Felix back to the Premier League, he was not a success first timer around and has been just as bad this time around, The £47 million investment in Felix has simply not turned out to be fruitful for Chelsea.
‘The January window will give the player alot of chances to make the move away until the summer window, where he can get a more permanent switch from the Blues, he is actually a player the club do not need.
‘CHELSEA made a mistake bringing the player back to the club, he has alot of potential, but he simply was not needed.’
‘Felix needs a new start in the game, needs a club where he can be the regular number 10, staring every week and making an impact, he will never be that at Chelsea, so is just wasting his time at the Blues.’
