Tierney – Lookman – Marmoush feature in Arsenal news now

Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal news, gossip and transfer latest from icfootballnews that we think you guys could have missed today…

Gunners defender Kieran Tierney will leave Arsenal in 2025, according to David Ornstein, who has claimed that the star could even leave the Emirates when the January transfer window opens up in just a few weeks time.

After months and months and months of speculation, ARSENAL allowed Tierney to leave for Real Sociedad last summer after making the decision that he would not be part of the plans this coming season.

The Scottish International had a decent time over in La Liga – but he failed to get a permanent move to the Spaniards and there has been alot of speculation in the media about his long-term future at the Emirates.

Injury put an end to any chances of a move towards the back end of the transfer window and and the focus now is on the left-back getting himself back fully fit ahead of the January window.

But According to David Ornstein of The Athletic, Arsenal have decided against triggering the option to extend his expiring contract.

The deadline by which to exercise the option has passed and Arsenal will not offer Tierney fresh terms. This means that he will leave the Emirates in the summer at the latest.

Tierney is a solid defender and a player could add some depth to that ARSENAL side if needed – but there will surely be a few clubs interested in him over the January window and the Gunners could use the money to help improve the side in other areas.

So if the reports are true and he is now looking to finally leave the club – it will be the very best decision for his career because he seems to be going backwards staying at the club – especially with all the quality that Mikel Arteta has in his squad right now.

But it will be interesting to see just where the man ends up.

SAGNA WANTS RASHFORD

Former Gunners star Bacary Sagna has opened up and encouraged ARSENAL to make a move for unhappy Manchester United star Marcus Rashford, as the attacker looks set to depart Old Trafford in the coming windows.

Rashford is a player that has been at Man United all through his career, and was tipped to become one of the best attackers in the game a few seasons ago when he hit an impressive 30 goals, but since then it has all gone wrong.

He looks nothing like the player that could bang in goals on a weekly basis and because of that he has fallen well down the pecking order at Old Trafford, which has led to alot of rumours that we could make an offer in the upcoming January window.

Arsenal have been mentioned as a possible destination for the star, but now Sagna has come out and had his say on a possible deal – The ex-Arsenal right back said: “I would love to see Marcus Rashford at Arsenal. I think if you added Rashford to Arsenal’s attack, with the pace that he has, Arsenal would destroy the opposition.

‘Adding Rashford to an extremely talented squad would be a frightening prospect for Arsenal’s rivals. Rashford is so quick.

“I think Arsenal having Rashford would enable Arsenal to have more variety in attack and I would love to see Gabriel Jesus and Marcus Rashford in the same team, pressing with so much intensity. Rashford joining Arsenal would be a wonderful signing for the club and a real statement of ambition.

“He hasn’t been at his best, but when that happens you need support and a good environment to bring you back to your best level. You need your teammates and your manager to lift you up. You need people to believe in you.”

WRIGHT WANTS LOOKMAN AND MARMOUSH SIGNING

Gunners icon Ian Wright and has told Mikel Arteta the two players he should look to bring to ARSENAL in the January window, as he would like Frankfurt forward Omar Marmoush or Atalanta star Ademola Lookman to be brought to the Emirates.

Arsenal have had a stuttering start to the season with some brilliant performances keeping their hopes of a Premier League title alive, while some dodgy performances have meant that Chelsea and Liverpool have kept that gap between the sides.

Arsenal have two weeks to go until they can start signing players again and Mikel Arteta will be eyeing a few deals that will get his team fighting closer to Liverpool and Chelsea for the Premier League title.

And if Arsenal need further attacking options to target in January they might want to take some advice from club legend Ian Wright – who believes he has identified two forward who could give the team a boost.

Wright thinks Frankfurt forward Omar Marmoush or Atalanta star Ademola Lookman could both be great signings for the Gunners.

Marmoush is having a superb season in the Bundesliga with 18 goals in all competitions, but he has been linked with a move to Liverpool as a possible replacement for Mohamed Salah, who is out of contract at the end of the season

Lookman, meanwhile, continues to go from strength to strength with Serie A Atalanta. He’s got 11 goals from the wing this season, meaning the forward has a total of 43 strikes from 96 appearances so far.

“There are two players I would probably go for,” he said on his Wrighty’s House podcast when he asked which signings could kickstart Arsenal’s season.

‘I would like people to have a look at Omar Marmoush and Ademola Lookman at Atalanta.”

ARSENAL need a striker, they dont need anymore attackers that can play in a number of positions, but Arteta knows what he wants and if he wants Marmoush or Lookman, then an offer will surely be made.
