Here is a roundup of the top Liverpool news, gossip and transfer latest from icfootballnews that you could have missed..
LIVERPOOL are unlikely to sign Bayern Munich star Leroy Sane as they are yet to hold any internal discussions over their transfer plans for the German winger, according to Sky Sports’ Florian Plettenberg.
Sane has developed into one of the best attackers in the Bundesliga over the past few seasons after making the decision to Leave Man City for the Bundesliga, but there has been alot of speculation regarding his immediate future.
The German has been in contract talks with Bayern for quite some time now, but has failed to agree a new deal with the club, meaning that Bayern chiefs are ready to cash in one of their best players.
The likes of Man City, Arsenal and even Newcastle have been linked with a move for Sane over the past transfer window, but According to recent reports on Fichajes, Liverpool are monitoring the 28-year-old’s situation closely as Bayern want to retain the German international but want him to take a pay cut. The report adds Sane wants to stay put at the Bundesliga side but it remains to be seen if he will accept their offer.
Sane could could still seek Bayern Exit next summer as a free transfer as the Bundesliga giants have shown no sign of offering the player a new deal.

Sane is proven at the very highest level of the game – is proven in the Premier League – and the fact that LIVERPOOL could get him for free at the end of the season could be a massive bonus.
But to say that he could replace the great Mo Salah, we doubt he could do that as he really struggles to find the back of the net in the Bundesliga.
SALAH WILL SIGN UP
Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher believes that Mohamed Salah will extend his stay on Merseyside due to a lack of options elsewhere, despite all the transfer reports in the media that he will have a number of offers on the table
The Egyptian’s deal runs out in June and there is rampant speculation about whether he will commit to another year as there is no agreement with Liverpool about staying at the club beyond the season.
That has led to alot of speculation about where he could end up if he does decide to leave Liverpool on a free deal at the end of the season, with reports that the likes of Bayern Munich, PSG, Barcelona and a number of Saudi Arabian clubs are interested in a move.
However – amidst all the speculation and rumours, Carragher believes that Mohamed Salah will extend his stay on Merseyside due to a lack of options elsewhere – he told the Stick to Football Podcast: “How many attackers do Real Madrid have? Barcelona are in dire straits financially, PSG are nowhere near the team Liverpool are – there are only four or five teams that can realistically win the Champions League and Liverpool are one of them.
“He will stay as I’m not sure there are too many options. He’s not ready to go to Saudi – he can do that in three years’ time. Salah is that driven as a footballer to win the record of most goals – or whatever that may be for Liverpool.”

Salah will probably sign that new Liverpool contract, and if he continues to score the goals that he has been, then he will be in a strong position to get the contract offer that he desires.
Many are all interested to see how this plays out, but we may have to wait a few more months before anything is concluded.
JOAO PEDRO PRICE SET
LIVERPOOL are keen on signing Brighton forward Joao Pedro in the next couple of transfer windows, but they have reportedly been told that it will cost £100 million to secure the services of the attacker.
Pedro was incredible last season, scoring 20 goals in all competitions and has impressed once again this season albeit not being as prolific in front of goal, with four strikes to his name.
Liverpool are one of a number of clubs that have been linked with a possible move for the attacker, as there is alot of speculation about the future of Mohamed Salah, who is out of contract at the end of the season, and Darwin Nunez, who has not impressed boss Arne Slot.
However, TBR Football report that there could be a major spanner in the works for both United and Liverpool: “TBR Football understands that Brighton would demand close to £100 million for star striker Joao Pedro,” the outlet says.
“What’s more, “they have no plans to let him leave in the near future.”
And with Brighton flying high in the Premier League table and on course for European football next season, the 23 year old also might see it in his best interest to stay at the American Express Stadium for the time being.

Joao Pedro has been impressive for Brighton over the past few seasons and is good enough to join one of the big clubs, but to pay £100 million for the man is mad and we are sure that will not happen.
Brighton could be pricing Pedro out of the chance to join the likes of Man United, LIVERPOOL or Chelsea with that asking price, but they dont want to lose the player and he may have to put in a transfer request if those clubs do come calling.
But for now, there is not need to move, he is only 23-years of age.
