Liverpool have turned down a £70m bid from Al-Hilal for the services of Darwin Nunez, but would reportedly do a deal for the striker if there £75 million asking price is met this January window

Nunez has blown hot and cold since his move to LIVERPOOL, and is constantly criticised for wasting a host of chances and finding himself out of the starting XI for significant spells.

It is no secret that Arne Slot is not 100 per cent sure that Nunez is the man that will lead that Liverpool attack in the long run, there has been some rumours that Liverpool are lining up possible alternatives, meaning that there may be a chance to sign Nunez in the coming windows.

And with reports that Arsenal are still keen to add another striker to the attack, there has been some stunning reports that the Gunners could make a move for a player that they were interested in before he made the move to Liverpool

But Arsenal are not the first club to make a move for the striker, and Liverpool have turned down a £70m bid from Al-Hilal for the services of Nunez, according to Anfield Watch.

He is said to be valued at closer to £85m by Liverpool, where he remains tied down until 2028, but the report suggests the Reds could compromise by reducing their asking price to around £75m.

We are shocked to see that Nunez is one of the players that Arne Slot is interested in selling over the next couple of transfer windows and we would surely be shocked to see him leave.

The balance of the side is great at the moment, Slot will not want to upset that too much over the next few windows and that is why we cannot see Nunez leaving LIVERPOOL this January.

KYLE WALKER CLAIM MADE

LIVERPOOL have been urged to launch a stunning move for wantaway Manchester City defender Kyle Walker, as a possible replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold, who is being tipped to join Real Madrid

Walker has made more than 300 appearances for Manchester City since joining the club from Tottenham in 2017. As well as becoming a six-time Premier League winner, Walker has lifted the Champions League, two FA Cups and four League Cups

Walker has 18 months left of his contract but visited Manchester City director of football Txiki Begiristain to discuss a move away and Pep Guardiola recently confirmed that the defender wanted to leave the club.

Clubs in Saudi Arabia are interested in signing Walker, who has also emerged as a target for Serie A giants AC Milan, but Speaking on talkSPORT, Dean Saunders said: ‘Do you want me to chuck a spanner in the works? So it looks like Trent is leaving, why don’t Liverpool sign him [Kyle Walker]?

‘There you go, he’d be a good signing for LIVERPOOL if Trent goes. I know they’ve got the young kid [Conor Bradley] coming through…

‘But Walker is still quick – and if Trent is leaving… Kyle Walker would get in Liverpool’s team, he’d get in Spurs’ team. He’d get in Man United’s team, he’d get in Chelsea’s team.

‘Would he get in Arsenal’s team? He’d get in Arsenal’s team. He’s better than [Ben] White!

‘Of course he could [make switch to Saudi Arabia], I just don’t think he is ready yet. If he gets offered £600,000-a-week to go and play in Saudi, I’m not going to criticise him, that to me makes sense.

‘But if I’m a club in Italy or in Spain watching Kyle Walker… the pace of the English game, it’s the quickest league in the world.

‘Yes, he’s lost a yard of pace, but Kyle Walker’s pace is still a match for most in this league. I think the fact that he [Guardiola] said he wants to go abroad, he’s done it in England, he’s won everything there is to win, go and do something abroad.

‘I get that, I see that, that shows bravery that he wants to go abroad and prove himself.’
