It has again been claimed that Man United would like to get ARSENAL target Marcus Rashford sold this January window in order to help free up some money, so they can add some players to the side.
He really struggled last season under boss Erik Ten Hag and has only managed to score 8 goals in all competitions for United, which is not good enough for a player of his ability and quality when he is on top of his game, and he has not been any better this season.
This season the striker has been even worse and has even been completely dropped from the side under Ruben Amorim, who only wants players at Old Trafford that are actually keen on playing for the club.
United started welcoming bids for the 27-year-old last summer following a drastic loss of form, and are ready to let him leave the club now that the January window is open, and could accept just £40 million for the star, but are struggling to get him sold, according to Sky Sports News’ senior reporter Melissa Reddy:
“Selling Marcus Rashford would help Man Utd financially as it would be banked in the books as pure profit as he’s an academy graduate. He says he wants a fresh challenge and the club are open to letting him leave.
“But there is no market for Rashford because of his salary, valuation, form and all the off the field problems that have been reported.
“In the current landscape where domestic clubs are trying to meet their PSR aims and clubs in Europe can’t match the fees of the Premier League, you can’t see where Rashford would begin this new adventure and where Man Utd get the money they need for him.
‘Some clubs like PSG who have had an interest in Rashford have made it clear there is no active interest in him at the moment.
“I can’t see how Manchester United make this transfer happen in January.”
