Kvaratskhelia – Ferguson – Araujo feature in Arsenal news now

Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal news, gossip and transfer latest from icfootballnews that we think you may have missed today…

ARSENAL , Chelsea and Liverpool target Khvicha Kvaratskhelia would make a huge impact at any of the Premier League’s leading clubs according to Georgia assistant coach David Webb.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool, in particular, have been strongly linked with moves for the 23-year-old after the decision was made that he wanted to leave Napoli this transfer window from the player himself.

And amid all the speculation, David Webb, who has seen Kvaratskhelia’s development at close hand since being appointed to Georgia’s coaching team back in 2023, is confident the dynamic forward would be able to cope with the rigours of English football.

‘He is a delight to work with, to be fair,’ Webb told Give Me Sport. ‘Technically, he is superb, and he is really good athletically as well. He has got that willingness to become the absolute best he can be.

‘When you’ve got that inside you, it makes your potential endless. He is a joy to work with, and you can see he has that winning mentality.

‘He has definitely got the scope to fit in well in the Premier League because of the way he plays.

‘Any of the top four or five sides would be suited to his style. If you’re looking at ARSENAL , Chelsea, Liverpool or Manchester City, he could definitely fit in because of the way they play with that raw, attacking flair, at pace and with intensity.

‘You can see him doing that in the future. But I think, for now, he has been really level-headed where he has been at Napoli.

‘I think he deserves the plaudits he is getting now, and I’m sure that he will do really well wherever he goes on his next venture, if he chooses to move on this month.

‘Whichever club he goes to in his career – whether it be somewhere like PSG, Liverpool, Manchester City or Chelsea – they have got really high expectations and are challenging at the highest level for trophies.

‘He is calm and mature, but would also bring that winning mentality and would not be someone who is going to get overawed by the pressure.’

KIWIOR WILL STAY

Despite persistent speculation linking defender Jakub Kiwior with an ARSENAL exit this January window, the defender is ‘destined to remain’ at the Emirates, according to reports in Italy, per Sport Witness.

Kiwior signed for ARSENAL FC a couple of January windows ago from Spezia for a fee of £17.5million, and there have been occasions where he has put in some impressive performances in that Arsenal shirt.

However – he has failed to live upto expectations over his Gunners career and has been constantly linked with a move away from the Emirates – with a number of top clubs reportedly interested in a potential deal.

Kiwior’s minutes have been even more limited this season by the signing of Riccardo Calafiori, who has been impressive since his move to the club in the summer and if the man that Mikel Arteta prefers in that left-back position.

However – despite all the speculation that the defender is open to leaving the club in January, The Gunners reportedly have ‘no intention of selling’ this month, though more be more willing to do so in the summer when a bid in the range of €15-20m could prove persuasive.

He has been valuable in recent weeks and with a long season ahead for the Gunners, a move would not make sense, the reports says.

IcFootballnews Opinion…

Look, ARSENAL FC took a chance on Kiwior and brought him to the Premier League, but he has had enough time to settle at the club and make some kind of impact, but it has not really worked out like that.

If he wants to move back to Italian football, then that Arsenal board should allow him to leave and bring in players that actually want to be part of the side, stars that will give 100 per cent and will not miss the country they have been signed for.

It was a shock to see Arsenal keep the player in the summer window – but we are not shocked to see that he will probably also stay in January.

FERGUSON TOLD TO MAKE ARSENAL DECISION

Joe Cole has urged Brighton striker Evan Ferguson to snub transfer interest from ARSENAL and instead join his old club West Ham in the January transfer window..

Ferguson, desperate for more minutes, could now move on and there are a number of clubs who want him due to his age and potential The 20-year-old has conjured up 17 goals and five assists across 79 games for Brighton to date.

He is a player that Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is reportedly ready to add to his attack for the remainder of the season, knowing that the young man would give him a different option in attack than what he already has at the club.

However – amid all the speculation and rumours, and Speaking on The Dressing Room, Cole discussed Ferguson’s future alongside fellow former footballers Carlton Cole and Wayne Bridge and urged Ferguson to choose the Hammers over the Gunners.

‘What’s the likelihood of West Ham outbidding Arsenal?’ Bridge asked.

Cole said: ‘Listen, if I’m his agent I’m saying to him go to West Ham. You’re not going to get into the Brighton team.

‘You’re going to take a step up and play, you need games, you’re a young kid you need games, come and play for West Ham, it hasn’t worked for Fullkrug yet, go there.’

IcFootballnews View…

ARSENAL are one of the best sides in the Premier League with a number of quality players that would help take Ferguson to that next level, he could really develop into something special at the Emirates.

However – Mikel Arteta needs success in the immediate seasons as this young Arsenal side are too good to not win that Premier League title, so Ferguson would probably not get the game time and patients that he needs to develop.

The Hammers would be a good move for him to make, it is a bigger club and a chance to get a fresh start.
