King Charles is deeply saddened by the loss of life of a British man who was killed within the automobile assault in New Orleans on New Yr’s Day, Buckingham Palace sources say.
Edward Pettifer, 31 – who was named by the Metropolitan Police on Saturday morning – is believed to be the stepson of Alexandra Pettifer, referred to as Tiggy, who sorted Prince William and Prince Harry after they had been youngsters.
Palaces sources have advised the BBC the King has been in contact with Mr Pettifer’s household to share his private condolences.
In a tribute, Mr Pettifer’s household described him as a “great son, brother, grandson, nephew and pal to so many”.
