Diallo puts pen to paper on new Man Utd contract until 2030

Amad Diallo has signed a new five-and-a-half-year deal at Manchester United that will keep him at the club until June 2030.

Diallo’s previous deal had been due to expire at the end of the season, though the club had the option of triggering a 12-month extension clause.

But the Red Devils have opted to hand the Ivory Coast international fresh terms to stay at Old Trafford, having impressed for the Red Devils this season.

Across all competitions this term, Diallo has scored six goals and provided seven assists in 28 appearances, becoming an important part of Ruben Amorim’s side.

He netted against Manchester City and Liverpool, becoming only the third United player to score away against both sides in the same Premier League season, after Wayne Rooney in 2004-05 and Robin van Persie in 2012-13.

In the Premier League this campaign, Diallo has completed more dribbles (28) than any of his team-mates, while only Bruno Fernandes (43) has created more chances in the top-flight than the 22-year-old.

After a difficult start in Manchester following his move from Atalanta in 2021, Diallo has since made 50 appearances for the Red Devils across all competitions.

Diallo also enjoyed loan spells with Rangers and Sunderland, but is hoping to play a starring role in taking the club to where he thinks they rightfully belong.

“I am really proud to have signed this new contract. I have had some incredible moments with this club already but there is so much more to come,” Diallo said.

“I have huge ambitions in the game and I want to achieve history at Manchester United.

“I have learnt so much since arriving four years ago. I am very grateful to the coaches and staff who have helped me to develop, and to the fans for driving me forward every day.

“It has been a difficult season for everyone, but I fully believe that we are on the right path and the future is going to be really special.

“I am ready to give everything to help the team and make our supporters proud again.”
