Christian Pulisic, Yunus Musah spark AC Milan’s comeback victory over Juventus

AC Milan sealed its spot into the Supercoppa Italiana Final on Friday with Christian Pulisic enjoying a positive return to action.

Pulisic scored from the penalty spot to help kickstart the Rossoneri’s eventual 2-1 comeback victory over Juventus in Saudi Arabia. It marked Pulisic’s return to action for AC Milan after being out through injury.

Fellow U.S. men’s national team star Yunus Musah also had an impactful moment in the match as well.

Kenan Yildiz propelled the Bianconeri in front after 21 minutes, giving Juventus a 1-0 lead that it would take into halftime.

However, Pulisic stepped up from the penalty spot in the 71st minute and blasted his spot kick down the middle of the Juventus net for a 1-1 equalizer. It marked Pulisic’s ninth goal of the season in all competitions.

Four minutes after tying the match, AC Milan propelled itself in front with substitute Musah having a say in the go-ahead goal. Musah’s cross from the right wing deflected off of Juventus’ Federico Gatti into the back of the net for a 2-1 Rossoneri lead.

AC Milan would hang on to seal its spot into Monday’s Final.

Weston McKennie started and played 86 minutes at left back for Juventus while Timothy Weah played out the final four minutes off of the bench.

For Pulisic and Musah, their first chance to lift a trophy with the Rossoneri comes on Monday when the Milan Derby takes place at Al -Awwal Park in Riyadh.
