Here is a roundup of the top Manchester United news, gossip and transfer latest from icfootballnews that we think you guys could have missed today…
There has been some stunning rumours emerge in the media this week which may give the likes of Manchester United the chance to sign Dani Olmo from Barcelona in the January window, as the Spaniards may be forced to sell the midfielder.
The former RB Leipzig playmaker has warmed to life at the Camp Nou, notching six goals in 12 appearances across all competitions from the heart of Barcelona’s midfield. He has definitely proven his worth to summer managerial appointment, Hansi Flick.
However – the Spaniard had only been registered for an initial six-month period, and the Catalans face another race against time to register their man for the second half of the season.
The news will alert a number of sides in the Premier League to a possible deal for one of the most creative players in La Liga right now, and a player that United were very much interested in signing before the decision was made to make the move to Barcelona.
But as per the report from Mundo Deportivo, there is a unique clause in Olmo’s contract which indicates that should the player not be registered for the club in future windows, he would then be able to depart as a free agent.

It shows just what kind of financial difficulty that Barcelona are in that they may have to let one of the clubs most creative players leave because they cannot register him, it would be mad.
However – despite the latest rumours, we believe that this will all be sorted out and Olmo will end up staying at the club, especially as there are a number of players in the side that could generate enough money from being sold that this would not be an issue.
It is crazy to think that he could leave for nothing though.
ANTONY TO STAY IN JANUARY]
The agent of Manchester United winger Antony confirmed that multiple clubs are interested in signing the Brazilian but suggested the club have no intention of parting ways in the January transfer window.
Antony has struggled at Old Trafford since his £86m arrival from Ajax in September 2022. The 24-year-old has made five appearances under new boss Ruben Amorim and faces an uncertain future under the Portuguese.
Antony’s agent Junior Pedroso has revealed the player is open to leaving the club on loan in January with Man Utd yet to decide on his future
‘Yes, many clubs have approached us for Antony’s move in January,’ Junior Pedroso told GiveMeSport. ‘These clubs wanted to understand the situation for Antony, so I can confirm that there’s concrete interest.’
‘To be fair, Manchester United have never expressed any interest to sell or loan out Antony to us,’ he said
‘We never received this sort of communication so far. Man United management never told us that they want Antony to leave, despite the reports we see around about our client.’
Antony’s agent continued: ‘I can say that Antony’s future is very much tied to Manchester United’s interests
‘If the club thinks it would be a good idea to loan Antony out in January so he can get more minutes and regain his trust, we will work together on that option.
‘Otherwise, Antony is working hard to regain his place and show his best skills under the new coach Ruben Amorim.’

There is no doubt that Antony is a very talented player, he is just not a player that can handle the Premier League, he needs to leave. The January window would give him a fresh chance somewhere else, but with so many games to play this season, with so much talk about the financial fair play rules, it is easy to see why he could stay until the summer.
AMORIM ISSUED TRANSFER MESSAGE
Alan Shearer feels a number of Manchester United stars aren’t good enough and says boss Ruben Amorim must ‘get rid’ of several flops, as the Red Devils picked up another 2-0 loss to Wolves.
Bruno Fernandes was shown a red card while goals from Matheus Cunha and Hwang Hee-chan saw the Red Devils lose at Molineux and leave the club still in 14th place in the Premier League and well out of the race for that Champions League place.
Former striker and football pundit Shearer was quizzed about United’s tough start under new manager Amorim on Match of the Day and encouraged the new boss to get rid of the deadwood that are not performing – he said: ‘Results, issues off the field, Rashford.
